Update

Hello All,

Well I have been working on stitching embroidery designs over the last week for the launch of Bernina Embroidery Software 8. I am doing a launch party for it on Saturday Sept 24th from 11 am to 2 pm at Seams Like Home. I am excited about the new software it has some awesome additions to it!

As for my calendar I have not been diligent in logging my studio time lately. I have not been feeling like I am getting enough studio time lately so I don’t want to use it filling out the calendar. I am setting a new rule for myself starting today that when ever I get creative time I will log it before leaving the studio that day.

Back to sample creating,

Happy creating!

My current big project

In the June of 2015 I started a quilt that I have aptly named the quilt that never ends. It is a double wedding ring quilt done completely on the embroidery module. When the block comes off the module it is pieced, appliqu├ęd, sandwiched, and quilted. All I have to do is join the blocks together and bind it.

The quilt is from hoopsisters.com. I decided to make a few changes to it and to make it to fit our king size bed. It will be 108″ square when complete. There are 144 main blocks, 48 border blocks, and 4 corner blocks. Each main block takes about 70 minutes to stitch including color changes and adding fabric.

I am currently about 3/4 of the way through part 3. I am enjoying it, however it is not the fastest project

I have had multiple people make me promise to put it in the fair even though I don’t want to. The reasoning given is it is so pretty everyone should see it.

below is a picture of it I will add a gallery section in the next couple of days.
